What is ReGrasp?

ReGrasp improves active range of motion and hand function with functional electrical stimulation (FES). ReGrasp is is backed by 30 years of research on FES technology, and is proven to:

  • Improve hand active range of motion and hand function*
  • Facilitate daily tasks
  • Re-educate muscles
  • Maintain or increase range of motion
  • Prevent or retard disuse atrophy
  • Increase local blood circulation
  • Reduce muscle spasms
  • Help paralyzed fingers move

*in patients with hemiplegia or upper limb paralysis due to stroke, traumatic or acquired brain injury, or C5 level cervical spinal cord injury

 

ReGrasp is proven to help regain hand function and to assist patients who have hand paralysis to perform daily activities using FES technology. Individuals who would benefit from ReGrasp include, but are not limited to:

  • Stroke patients with impaired hand/forearm function
  • Patients with an incomplete spinal cord injury of C5-T1
  • Patients with impaired hand/forearm function from neuromuscular disorders with intact lower motor neurons
  • Patients with brachial plexus injury
  • Individuals with spasticity of the hand
